New Rims?

I'm looking for some new rims for my black 99 GT.
First off what size are the stock rims?
Second, there seam to be allot of manufactures out there what should I look out for?
I'm concerned about quality,finishes peeling off ,durability and stuff like that with out breaking the bank.

Re: New Rims?

Wheel = 16x6.5
Tire = P225 60-16
Bolt pattern = 115mm X 5

Bunch of aftermarket wheels are out there but you have extreme weather conditions to consider.

Thats not all thats extreme around here but that is one thing I'm considering.
I won't be using them in the winter but I'am concerned about quality only because its seams like everybody and there grandmother seam to be making them.

Something is really haywire with the weather here this year,its sunny and mild out right now and its usually sub zero this time of year.

Yeah Wylie. Hope you are getting some riding time in on the Harley. I'm heading out to the trails on my Honda CR250 this weekend. Gonna test out some new jetting changes and impress the ATV guys. They still don't understand why I can go faster and look better on the sand dunes on a two wheeler.

Great weather here too as usual. I can get any reasonably cost wheels because rust is not existent here and we do not get the roads salted.

Happy riding, bro!

Oh no, heaven forbid Wylie. Go with wider ones since you'll be going aftermarket. The 6.5 width is just for direct stock.

I'd go with wider like 7.0, 7.5. 8.0. 8.5, 9.0" depending on the width of the new tires. If you decide to get stock tires in 225 60 16 then go with 7.0" or 7.5". For wider tires you can go wider on the rims. A GP wheel well will take up to tires in P245 width with no problems. Good luck!

Thanx Bud: I wasn't sure I didn't want to get them on the car and find out they rub.
These guys have a distributor close to me http://www.americaneaglewheel.com/
Actually I think I like these ones http://www.aewheel.com/eagle_alloy_wheels.cfm?id=57
