If you had enough spare cash....

What would be the,ONE chore task,or piece of housework that you would happily pay someone to do for you?You might even care to share if you are lucky enough to be in this position already!

We did have a cleaner a few years ago and that was great, we've got a guy that comes and mows the lawns, but if money was no object, I'd go for a chef any day.

A plumber

I tried doing my own major plumbing work when I used to have a house with a pool, only to feed my ego and say that I did it.

Now I live in a condo and gladly pay a professional plumber to do simple things like change water heater. Actually it wasn't simple as he had to solder on a new shut off valve in the wall, raise the heater floor and put in new sections of pipe. If I had tried to do the soldering inside of the wall I'd probably have burnt down the building.

Plumbers are worth every dollar they charge!

We used to have a guy come cut our lawn....but he charged 400 a month to just cut the grass....so I couldn't really justify paying him $100 an hour since that's how long it took him. It takes me an 1:15 to cut it, but then again I have a normal lawn tractor and not a speedy commercial one so....oh well! but I can't justify payin the guy $100 an hour...hell I don't even make that much! hehe

Spec2 Girl,

I'll come cook for ya anyday! *grin*

I'd have to say that if I could pay someone to do one single chore it would be to fold my clean clothes in the laundry. I don't so much mind washing them; it's the folding and returning them to their places in my closet or dresser that I get bored over...

Ditto times 4.

Since I have been home all day,I have tried my best to be a good citizen, doing laundry, mowing lawns,cooking...I have even found WHERE the vaccuum cleaner is kept(buggered if I can find the iron, though! )

but the one thing that I would pay somebody else to do is fold the washing....I still find it amazing just how much stuff the kids go though each day! I do it for love but that's all !

Have to agree with ya Mr T.......Washing and putting away clothes is a real pain. Even worse in winter when nothing dries and kids find every puddle to play in at school

Same here. I dont really have a problem with washing my clothes, but folding, ironing, and putting away would be something I would pay someone to do.

Currently my system is this:

Wash and dry clothes
put clothes into basket
place basket on top of dresser
when clothes are needed, get them from the basket
Ironing is a no-no. I just avoid wearing clothes that require ironing, unless I have nothing left to wear, then I just wear them wrinkled.

Home Mom....Not ME!

Yeah, I'm not good at that Home Mom stuff like washing clothes, folding laundry, cooking, cleaning the house, etc, etc, etc...

Fisrt thing first, I had a landscaper come in and desgin my whole backyard and front yard. Very cool, but way too much stuff for me to do *Note see below

I used to have a person come in and clean my whole back yard (roughly 1/3 an acre) that had tons of BS everywhere...I mean it had plants, tree, bushes, everything you could imagine.

Also, had Shasta Pools come out and build me a custom pool, very nice and would recomend them to anyone...they do great work FAST!

And lastly I got someone to clean the pool 3 times a week; you know put chlorine in it, and all that checmical crap!?

Now that I do have SOME spare cash I think I double Spec's idea. A chef. That would be very cool! :bandit:
