Spark Plugs causing car to not start? Need opinion

Hey all, well I think I fixed my car not starting problems, but I'm not sure so I want ur opinion. This morning my car wouldnt start again (it cranked but didnt turnover) so I called my friend to come over and look at it. When he got here he looked under the hood, I told him I thought it might be the spark plugs, because I had just bought a new battery and that didnt fix it. He decided to try and hit the spark plug cap while I started it and walla! My car started right up. So now I have two question:

1) Does this mean I need to replace my spark plugs?

2) How do I get the plugs out, cause I cant seem to get to them.:frog:

Do you mean he hit the distributor cap? Also, have you had the starter checked out?

No he wasnt hitting the distributor cap, he was just hitting the spark plug cap. And I dont think it could be the starter, cause my car is still cranking, it just doesnt start. :frog:

You need a Spark Plug Socket to unscrew the plugs and pull them out.

to get the plugs out you need a 6" extension, a 5/8" spark plug socket, and a wrench.

id say if he just hit your plug wires and it started the plugs are fine, but your wires may be cracked on the inside not sending enough spark to the plugs, hence causing the car not to start.
