all red tails
hey, i painted my stock tails a while back and I dont think they look as good as they should. I sprayed a couple coats over the entire light and it looked awsome.. nice n shiny. Then i decided to spray a layer of clearcoat over it to protect it. It looks all dull and crappy now. Is there anything i can use to get the taillight back to stock looking so i can redone them w/o clearcoat.
Could you sand them? Or would you try to strip it. any help would be great thanks, Joe

i would first try to strip the paint off with like gas or paint thinner. then if that doesnt work try to use a soft scotch-brite pad to take it off. But i would be careful not to scratch them.

i used brake cleaner to get the paint off my clear center section when it accidently flipped on the newspaper. It got all the paint off pretty well.

try using an Aircraft Coating Stripper....it might be too abrasive....if it is then dont try it.....then use something like Carb Cleaner...those should work quite well.
