all red tails
Hey, this past weekend i painted my stock tails all red using transparent candy apple red hobby paint. I sprayed a couple coats on and they looked awsome, really glossy and nice. I then decided to spray them with clearcoat for protection and they lossed all their shine (kinda look dull when light hits them from certain angles). They still look good, but i was wondering if there was anything i could do to make them shine again. Wax em?
Thanks, Joe

I believe mothers makes a product that is like wax for head/tail lights, but since you put that paint on em, I assume that you could try either waxing or polishing them and get nearly the same results. The worst that could happen is that you might have to use paint remover and just respray the lights with the hobby paint, then just not put the clear coat on. At least that's what I think.

You should take all the paint you just put on off, then wet sand your tails with 1500 grit, then use rubbing compound after that. This will make your tails very clear, then a few coats of your red again. Then use rubbing compound again.
