audio question
on my factory acura cd deck, theres a wire that says dimmer which im assuming that luminates the deck.
i didnt know which wire it went to so i just wired everything but i kinda hate the fact i cant see anything at nite except for the lcd display does anybody know which wire i can wire it up to?

Every Audio guy I've talked to said they don't wire the Illumination thing since it will fuck something up.

Every Audio guy I've talked to said they don't wire the Illumination thing since it will fuck something up- not true.
Either way, it sounds like you are putting in a factory acura deck? if this is the case then you want to hook the dimmer wire into the wire that reads 12v when you turn on your parking lights. You can test this using a digital multimeter. If it is a dimmer wire that youre looking for it will come on when the parking lights are turned on and the voltage will fluctuate when you turn the dimmer switch. hope this helps. - Brian
