WIP - Honda NSX-R
On to the new project. Just want to start this WIP thread to keep track of the time and see how long it will take me to finished this one.
  It's the first generation NSX-R, Tamiya kit. It's going to be stock and here are some pictures with the current progress. Primed & lay a 2 coat of silver (gloss aluminum), and planning to spray clear orange to simulate the "Imola Orange" that's available in the later years of the NA1. As usual, I will let the picture do the talking.     Comments, suggestions are always more than welcome

Looks like a good start!
'Candy' paint jobs are tough- good luck with it. I especially have when dust gets on the body while spraying the color topcoat- you get an instant dark spot where all the color pools around the dust. Are you airbrushing or using spraycans?

Nice!
Same color I'm planning to do my non-R in. I'm not sure about the orange over silver though, orange over gold might be a better choice.

now thats nice... only negative thing i can find is that... u should have put your title as NSX type R ... cause NSX-R is the newest nsx version... oh well thats my point of view... hahahahaha
other than that u have great paint work!

NSX-R is any Type R NSX, which they've been making on and off since almost the cars inception. In fact, the new "generation" of NSX isn't even really a new generation, it's just had a mild facelift that's just a tad more dramatic than the few previous improvements. Everything underneath the skin is just part of the linear progression of the car - just small refinements here and there.
Anyway, this is going to be great! The NSX is a gorgeous car, and Imola Orange is perfect for it, good luck with that paint! If it works, it's going to be stunning.
