ive got another question on spray painting and its effect. this happens after spraying on the same body ya. some area became shinny (glossy) while other areas turned out matted finish. Why is this so? The colour i used was italian red on austin mini cooper. Thanks all |

Re: effect of paint
Did you use primer? If not the effect could be due to the different grain of the plastic reacting differently to the paint.

Re: effect of paint
Could be humidity, inconsistent paint coat, inconsistent paint distance and more and more..

Probably sanding, rubbing compound/polish and wax will help.
Maybe this will help - a recent experience of mine

Does wet sanding literally means wetting the sand paper with water?
When is wet sanding applied and to what situations? what is its effect? thanks guys! |

Wet sanding is usually used when using finer grain sand paper ( 1000 and above). Wet sanding will give you a smoother result than dry sanding and the water will wash away the 'dust' that sand off, thus making it much cleaner than dry sanding. |
