Hose Joint Set for new Project

Hey fellow modelers,

question, yet again. For my 1/12 Ferrari 641/2 I need hose joints. I know that Modelerīs produces a set with different scales. Does anybody know where to get them (Europe online, somewhere else online). I need support on this issue.

Do other companies produce something similiar? If so, can you give an online shop, where to get that stuff??

Detail Master has a line that may go as large as you need. Their line should be available from an online shop that ships to europe.

Wow, I would never have thought to buy them as detail parts- I've always scratchbuilt mine!

Notebook paper and white glue, with BMF strips for the clamps. Make the tightening screw with a short length of fine solder or the like. Even in 1/12, the only detail your sacrificing is the screw hatchmarks on the clamps (totally invisible it 1/24).

Ok so where does the paper and white glue come in? I understand the bmf and the solder.

Thanks for the information. I was looking for something different. Please look at the following picture (itīs the Ferrari 641/2 from Bil Altridge). Iw as looking for sets representing the red octagon shaped connectors (I guess hose joint set is misleading).

Be so kind and help me, yet again!! Where can I get those, my local hobby shops donīt carry connection sets, which makes it especially hard to replicate, when you need to connect wires and hoses in a 90 degree angle....

You have two solutions

1) construct yourself hose joint set
with this TUTORIAL

2) Buy this sets of R.B MOTION OR DETAIL MASTER, that are very excellent quality. Directly from their web sites or from Ron of RACINGMINIATURES

Ciao

Detail Master make some of the best:

I've never found a European stockist but I have ordered braided hose from them by phone direct to the UK with fast delivery and no probs. 10/10

Re: Hose Joint Set for new Project

As far as I know the Modellers Hose End set is discontinued. Sakatsu hex connectors are a good alternative. On my GT40 I used Sakatsu connectors mounted on brass rod bent to the appropriate angle. They have a range of different shape and sizes. The likes of Detail Master may have similar or better.
