WIP: 1958 Triumph TR3A

1958 Triumph TR3A Rally Club Car kit by Minicraft. Not the best in the world, but there are probably worse. It is a 1/24th scale model. Not all that big really. It cost me about 6.50 US dollars.

I'm still deciding on a color. I might go with a blue for this. Once primed and painted, it can be finished in about 15 minutes. So, expect a completion thread tonight.

Thanks. I'm thinking either British Racing Green or Coral Blue for the body. Then flat black for the interior and roof.

Great. Second bad paintjob of the day. Layed it down too thick. Humidity was also too high I bet. Now it need to dry then sand it down.

Re: WIP: 1958 Triumph TR3A

Just checked on it again, and the paint job is complete crap. I'm going to need to pick up some isopropyl alcohol tomorrow after work and just let that soak for a day.

Note to self: Tamiya gray primer is 100x better than tamiya white primer.

Not to all: Do not rush builds, even if they are as simple as this. You can really eff up your paint job.

Bummer!
And I was soooo looking forward to seeing this done before I go to bed

This was a great car even if the model is crappy. Low on BHPs but high in "seat of your pants factor" . A bit like me really and it's only a few years older than me
