86 crown vic

flushing the engine,changing the oil, It stops,,,,,,,,,,,, turns over,replaced coil, nothing,,,,,Four years ago had new modual installed, it sits and LOL at me,,,,,, No fusable links look bad...... fuses OK........Fuel pump sounds like its working........left front wheel well relays sound like they are coming on..... Anyone with a clue...Thank You .Bill

when you put the TFI module in did you put any dielectric grease on the back of it?

IT WAS DONE AT A SHOP AS IT HAD LEFT ME STRANDED SO I REALLY DON'T KNOW.It was a few years ago and has performed great since. Running great one second then off.

well then I would change the cap and rotor. But if you do not see spark I would have the TFI module checked out and just to be on the safe side have the coil checked too might be a bad coil even know that it is new.

On Fords that run a TFI module, it is usually a good thing to keep an extra one in the car, just in case. At the price of them, it is cheap insurance also.

Check out the pick-up in the distributor. They go bad too. The TFI may be bad again (there are a lot of junk parts out there)
