no heat

MY 97 Cron Vic has no heat. We have narrowed it down to the acutator blend door motor. I have been quoted 700 bucks to get this replaced. The dealer said that they would have to rip out the dash and stearing column. We are thinking about trying to force it to the hot position. We were wondering if i take out the radio and drill out the plastic wall behind it will i be able to get access to the motor? Any ideas?

Re: no heat

You can access the motor by removing the glove box. It is located to the top left of the glove box hole. It is tight, but it can be done. Just make sure you remove all the bolts that hold it to the heater/ac plenum.

Re: no heat

I don't think so unless you remove the servomotor. Yhere is not a place to access the door.
