need help with stereo install

me and my friend were trying to get his stock stereo out of his 92 accord lx and put in a new one, but we cant figure it out so im sure most of you guys have done this so can you help?

There are two 8mm bolts on the back of the radio that holds it in. All you need is a ratchet and a snake extension. You can reach them behind the center console. If for some reason you cant reach them or strip them out you will have to take out the center console and there are two 8mm bolts you can get it out through there. If you have any questions just let me know. Hope that helps.

Have Similar Problem With 92 Accord Ex. How Do You Get Center Console Off. Appears To Be Two Pieces. Does It Just Separate Between Emer Brake And Shifter. Also, There Are Two Screws In Front Going Up Into Dash, Right In Front Top Of Radio. Do These Get Removed Also.

First thing to do is take out console, then remove ashtray and ashtray holder. The holder is attached by 3 screws, 2 installed vertically adn the front and 1 installed horizontally at the back., After removing ashtray holder remove 2 retaining bolts in the roof of the ashtray cavity. these 2 bolts retain the small storage box beneath the stereo (the box and stereo are attached). pull out stereo and storage box as single assembly and separate the two by removing screws that attach them.
unplug elec. connectors adn antenna lead , remove radio. installtion reverse.
