Help with stereo Install

I have a 97 626 and i want to install an aftermarket cd deck. I talked to somebody at circuit city and they said i needed a whole bunch of crap to do the install. I was wondering if this is true or if i can just buy the deck and the harness and do the install myself. Thanks for the help.

I have a similar problem. I have a HU from a 1999 Mazda Protege, and the wiring harness I used to have my JVC stereo setup in my 626. However, now that I have a new car, I want to essentially switch the HU. But I'm having trouble finding a stereo wiring diagram for a 626 so I can get it hooked up.

If anybody can help, please let me know.

Purchase yourself a Deck, and a Radio wireharness. That's all you need. When removing your old deck you will need a metal closehanger that is cut up into 4 straight pieces about 3.5 inches long each. Do a search on google for a complete removal diagram.
