Iwata Eclipse users. A few questions.

I just bought an Iwata Eclipse and just want opinions on how it worked for you. Also would appreciate any tips on use ,maintennance,dis-assembly and cleaning.

Its very very very simple. Also it comes with instructions..lol...not to be an ass or anything, sorry. But seriously, its a very universal airbrush. 1st one I purchased when starting. Dis-assembly is simply just unscrewing and screwing back together. The needle is difficult to re-install, just be careful not to bend it and take your time with it. That is all.

There are several articles on the iwata site, which I found helpful.
On my Revolution the only thing new/different was the trigger tension adjustment, which was not covered in the supplied instructions.

I usually fill a second bottle with either alcohol, windex or laquer thinner depending on the paint job and shoot it through the brush.

I don't take it apart often. When I do, it's pretty clean, that's why I just shoot solution through it instead. I don't want to bend something by accident from taking it apart all the time.

I love mine. Its much better than the Model Master I used for years. The droplet size is much smaller and more consistent. Some people may like to have a higher paint flow, though. The only issue I had was a small metal chip from the airbrush manufacturing process got stuck in the air valve seat and it wouldnt seal off the air. It was easily fixed because the airbrush can be totally disassembled. The only maintenance I have needed to do was clean the needle. Just unscrew the back of the handle, unscrew the chuck holding the needle and pull the needle out. Be very careful that you dont bend it. I wipe the needle off with a rag and lacquer thinner.
