Horn FYI
Ok, here’s a weird deal…
I was rudely awakened by a horn blaring the other morning about 3:30. Imagine my surprise when I found it was my beloved Regal. First thing I did was look for a fuse but didn’t find one so I raised the hood and unplugged the horns and then went back to bed after trying to explain to a grumpy neighbor. The next day I bought a horn relay and all is well. The temp outside was a chilly 22 but it was down to 6 degrees just last week so I don’t know if the temp had anything to do with it. |

Horn
Is there any reason that my horn in my buick would stop working? And do you know of some way to fix it?
Thanks |

Re: Horn
Well, there could be several reasons...
Like I said in my earlier post, I tried to find a fuse but couldn't. That doesn't mean there's not one SOMEWHERE tho. The horn relay I replaced is located in an electrical center under the hood on the left side, at least it is in my '94 Regal. Although I don't recommend just to start replacing parts this would be a good place to start... after the fuses… The relays are only about $10. Does it work at all, intermittent I mean? You might try turning the wheel and trying to honk it over and over to break up any corrosion in there. Is your airbag light on? You might consider reposting this as a new thread, there are lots of guys in the forum that know a heck of a lot more than I do. |
