Revell Civic

Hi

I just bought 93 revell civic coupe 2 in1 tuner series and there is only 2 modified front bumpers. There is no stock bumper. Is this a mistake or is this the way it's supposed to be. Thanks

Re: Revell Civic

Unfortunately, that's the way it's supposed to be. Damnit, Tamiya! It's all your fault.

Umm...Hence the civic being the "Tuner Series" so there would be no stock version, just tuner

Re: Revell Civic

Not necessarily, Hitten. The ITR, Si, HB, Focus, 320i etc. are all tuner series, they have the stock parts included...

Revell should have stuck in stock bumpers at least... They should have ditched the lame-o round bumpers on the eclipse (tiny FMIC poking out, haha) and stuck in the 97-99 stock bodykit.... Hopefully the upcoming plastic RSX and WRX will have stock bumpers? Please revell?

the revell hatchback has stock front & rear bumpers. It's the 92-95 civic coupes that don't have stock bumpers. All the other hondas come with the stock bumpers.

The hatchback's "stock" front bumper is the stock bumper for a Civic Si. No other 99-00 Civic had the lower lip on the front bumper other than the Si, and fog lights were a dealer installed option on 99-00 Civics, most commonly seen on the Si.

EDIT: Also, the B16A2 engine which is common to both the hatchback and coupe kits is the engine for the Si, which wasn't available in anything but the Si.

You are technically right but I am VERY glad they included the B16 with the hatch since anything less would just suck IMO, the front bumpers were not stock but they are very popular in the honda world so really seeing a B16 powered EK HB with Si attire is not so uncommon and in some citys almost looks stock since they are so popular. for the die hard OEM enthusiast this sucks I guess but as far as the masses go I think they did good.

I do think the engine bay could have been more accurate around the frame rail areas but I guess that happens when you mass produce a kit like this.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Revell Civic

does the integra's lip that you can put on look like jdm lip because if i buy the integra, i'm going for the jdm look. Right now i'm still workin on the civic but after i finish it I wanna buy the integra.

Re: Revell Civic

If you want JDM, get a Fujimi kit. The Revell Integra is USDM, with four round headlights. JDM Tegs have the more square, wrap around lenses.

Well, some do. (ITR and SiR models) the rest still have the round lights.
