ENdless Altezza

man i can't wait to get the Endless Altezza Kit made by fujimi!!!

as so as i finish my integra Type-R (new ver.) i will start working on it!
I got one Q..... my friend's HKS Kansai Altezza's car body is gray...... do u think that the paint will cover the gray part if i sprayed blue paint on it?

something shitty happend to me along time ago when i was workin on my second model. The model was a Civic si hatchback. the car body was gray and i wanted to make into a Civic Spoon. So i tried spraying yellow paint on the body....... well it did not work really well cause i ended up using two cans of PAINT!!! do u think if i use primer this time it will work out?

Regardless, you'll want to lay down 2 or 3 primer coats before spraying any color. For a dark color like blue, grey primer is fine...but if you're ever going to spray a light color like yellow again, white primer will be a better choice and you'll be able to make it with less than a can probably

Best way to learn is to try it for yourself, because it's kinda hard to explain about color in words. Basically, you can control the final color, by changing the base color, for example...

Let's say, you have a can of white primer, gray primer, yellow, pink and red.
Spraying red on gray primer would result in dark bloody red, such as Alfa Romeo. Using white primer and yellow as a base color, you get very bright orangish red. Using white primer and pink, you get vivid red.

Now, yellow is very translucent, and it's easily affected by the base color underneath it, so if you paint the body with white primer, the final color would be bright, and I think that's what you originally wanted.

These days, white primer is opaque enough to cover the color of plastic, but if not, try using tan as a base color for yellow.

I'm not sure I'm explaining this right, but basically you have a choice of primer color, base color and body color, and the result depends on a combination of those three.
