endless brakes

ok i tried the search engine but nothing came up so i have this somewhat stupid question. my front pads on my 00ex are pretty much gone. honda wants $250 to replace them. i mean i was going to do the work my self anyway and i was thinking of buying non-honda pads, aiming at 'endless'. so here are my questions:
1. should i buy them or just install honda pads(or some other brand)?
2. where cnai find a good deal on these pads?
3. what is a good price for 2 of them?

I think it kind of depends on what you are aiming for here. If the car was stopping good enough for you with the Honda pads, why not get those, especially if they are cheaper.

honda pads have a lot more organic material in them. i wont use anything but honda pads for the simple fact that everytime i try something else with a higher metel ratio i get cop brakes. i would rather stop 10 feet later then hear that god awefull sound.

oh i don't realy care about stopping a few feet shorter. my main concern is how long the brakes last and i heard rhat endless brakes las for a whole lot longer than honda's pads. doesn't AEM also sell good pads. all i realy want is longevity out my break pads.

i heard that brakes that are very hard arn't good for the rotors. i'm not sure if it was endless of if it was the dust-free pads. but my mechanic friend told me they cut into your rotor or something bad because they were harder material.

but i have a rotor question of my own i'll post soon

ok well it seems no one is realy supporting the endless pads idea or suggetsing alternatives. so i guess unless someone makes a good arguement, i'm gonna bite the bullet and just get honda pads.
