Question 2005 Transmision issues?

I purchased a 2005 automatic Forester a few months ago. My wife has noticed a delay in changing gears, it does not happen all the time. We have checked Consumer reports, etc. and there is no mention of transmission issues. I have looked online and there a few people who have had issues but nothing concrete. We are concerned that SOA will give us a run around until the warranty is up.

Has anybody heard of, or experienced, any such issues? I would appreciate any help or info.

Thanks,

Re: 2005 Transmision issues?

I have the 05 with a manual transmission and haven't had any problems, but I'm guessing that you have the auto tranny. I don't know anything about that. Sorry.

You should, if you haven't already, probably read the subject just below this one "Forester transmission problems". The Foresters seem a bit older than yours but the problem seems to be the same as yours. I have an 05 and haven't experienced any problems.
