windshield washer fluid freezing
Has anybody had any trouble with the windshield washer fluid freezing with this model? I have a friend at work who has this trouble. I can't see the resevoir to see if it's frozen but you can definitely feel the tube as it runs up into the hood and it's frozen inside. She doesn't have a special winter formula of fluid in it and says she has never had this problem with any other cars until getting this Corolla. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Chad |

Have her purchase a good quaility washer fluid. I had this problem years ago. I suspected that the quick lube place i used to go to was using watered-down washer-solution.
I never had another freeze-up when I purchased and filled my own reservoir. She needs to wait for it to unthaw, run the washer until the reservoir is empty, then add the good stuff |

Re: windshield washer fluid freezing
You can buy a concentrate that you can add to the reservoir. Add a bottle or whatever is appropriate to the reservoir. Once the engine is hot, run the sprayer until the lines are flushed and that should be that.
