Build-up articles?

Hi,

Is there a section with complete build-up articles featuring in-progress shots and the how-to of building that particular model? Something like the Feature Articles section on www.hyperscale.com ?

I've seen the splendid models in the Gallery, but that's not what I mean. I like to read about the building in detail.... If there isn't such a section, can something like that be made? And who do I ask? If I get the picture correctly, AF is a giant conglomerate of Discussion Groups. I don't even know who the webmaster of it all is. I take it that Jay is the moderator on this particular forum...

Thanks for bearing with me guys,
Cheers,
Erik.

You are right, AF is a huge car forum network. If you've never seen the index; look here. A fella named Igor (igor@af) is the site admin. I moderate this forum (e.g. delete spam and broken threads...) and I (slowly; bear with me - update coming soon!) maintain the gallery.

In the gallery, look for items with "Read more..." next to the link. The "Read more..." is a link to the thread that was made about that model as it was being built. Some are more in-depth than others, depending on how often each modeler provided updates as they went along... Also, some have links to more than one thread in here.

So, it seems fine for our purposes to have the build-ups here in the forum, and the final products in the gallery. With cross-references, of course.

Thanks Jay,

It's a bit different approach than I'm used to from my aircraftmodeling days, but it works good, no sweat! I very much liked Guiddy's article/thread about automotive lacquer!

Happy modeling (or is it moderating )
Erik.
