the cam gears would prolly give you more HP, especially if they are adjustable. they are easy to do, if you have some common sense as to how to remove something and put it on correctly. but a Helms, or a chiltons manual would be your best route.

Well the cam gears would give more HP, but the pulleys are easier to install. You can definitley do both with just a good manual and some common sense. You'd be lucky if you got 10hp out the cam gears AND pulleys....which isnt too bad tho. Good luck.

10 hp is a reach. Ive heard from people who have had em', you can't expect too much, especially on a SOHC. (SCC claims about 2-3 hp from underdrive pulleys on a dyno for most cars they have seen, but its a consistent 2-3 hp ) Im not saying they aren't worthwhile though, especially in the case of the cam gear, since it gives you a new dimension of tunability. I suppose that could be helpful if you mod the engine more in the future. This is just one of those "get everything else first" mods it seems...at least that is what most people have advised me.

Also, remember that with the cam gear, you really would have to access a dyno to get good results from it. Otherwise you would be tuning blindly so to speak.
