Hi.. Here is my second project since 5 years. This is a great model from Tamiya. I got hard time with the 2 color body, My paintbrush stop working and 3 hour of sanding was needed. Finnaly I used car paint and the result isn't what I expected.. anyway, let me know what you think of it !

if you want to make it.. here is 3 tips:

1. Find the right Screwdriver. Tamiya include the Screwdriver in a Motocycle model I bout last week ! too bad I didn't have it before

2. Take a look at the decal instruction before painting ! Masking partern are there (I didn't say them)

3. Dors are extreamly fragile....

Sorry for my english...

Thnx for the tips, and bad english isn't so bad.. some parts aren't right, but I got such flaws also. Maybe I'm better with English, but youre a much better builder than me. So we are even.. and we will both learn from each other, right? after a long time we both understand more than we do now...

Another Real nice model.
The possibility of open the doors is a great idea by Tamiya.
The car looks more real and we can appreciate the work made in the interior.
Yep, 2 colour models are not easy for me too. Also have a bad time when building Tamiya Ford Escort RS Coswoth Michelin Pilot

Hi all !
Whaouhhh ! I am in love with this car !!!!
They are, with the CLK DTM, my favorite racing cars !!!!
I have 2 kits of the Astra and 3 of the CLK. :sun:
But I am looking for detail pictures which are quiet hard to find !
Does anyone here have or know where I could find detail pictures of the breaks, the cokpit and the engine !?
I thank you in advance and wish you a very nice week !

Happy modeling,

Steve from Lausanne - Switzerland

yes I understand you point of view, but for the 3 kits, it will be different decoration !
I order some studio 27 decals for the CLK and the Astra !

You'r lucky.. Here I can't have aftermarket stuff. and each model cost me 35$-45$CAN so I don't want to make 3 time the same model. Cost too mutch.

also the CLK are a bit boring to built ;-) too easy but decals make it hard

Oh, for the aftermarket !! there's nothing in Switzerland too !!
I order everything by internet ! (HLJ) !!!

But I understand that you do not want to do 3 times the same kit.
For me it's the same, but between the CLK-DTM - Astra V8 and me, it's a real love story !!! :flash:
For example my last kit was the NSX Raybrig, and I don't want to build this kit one more time because one time is enough !
