Opel Astra coupe Team phoenix

Well I finally started the body on this model, I'm new to the car model scene but so far good results. I'm not going to mention the rollcage/other parts as it pretty much builds itself. Other than the fact I hate brush painting as it looks like ass when I do it But anyways. I sanded the body last night with some low grade wet sand paper and washed it with soapy water and a toothbrush. After air drying I sprayed some primer on the body, surprisingly it looks pretty good so far (12 hours) I can only see a few spots that will need some touch up. Tonight im going to spray the whole body white with the tips ive read in here, and after that is finished/looks good I will mask off the yellow parts. I have a digital cam and will add some pictures of my progress when I get home from work. One quick question I have is when I get to the orange peel part, will toothpaste remove that? or is it worth just spending the money on some t-cut. I did a quick look for some T-cut and didnt see any on www.greathobbies.com (my local store) is T-cut its exact name?

If the orange peel is too bad you would be better off giving it one my coat to see if you can get it right.

Your best bet is to very lighty sand the orange peel, then once finished, give it a good cut and polish

Thanks, I took a look at the decals today . I was spraying the primer in my room in a little area I made, For future use/health I will be using a mask and doing the painting outside. I think :apoke:. Or thats what the talking box of kraft dinner that appeared on my desk said anyways.
