Unhappy won't start 91 3.0L v6

hello. i'm new to this thing but i need some serious help!
went 4-wheeling in the mud and went through a deep puddle. the runner just died half way through. water came in and we were just stuck! had to get towed all the way home.
now it won't start at all. turn the key and windows/wipers/radio works but won't even click.
any ideas?

Give some details on your vehicle, year, engine, tranny,
(Edit: Never mind, got it from your title, oops.)

Check the starter by bypassing the solenoid to see if it spins if it does then there is contamination on the contacts in the solenoid and will need to be cleaned.

Good Luck

Replacing/cleaning the contacts is a very cheap fix:
