Intermittant stall 2000 Crown Vic.

Hey guys hopefully someone can help me out here. All these years with GM and I need some Ford help
My dad has an 2000 crown vic with a V8.
He has an intermittant start/stall condition that the Ford dealer cannot duplicate.
the car will start and stall immediately. when this happens, he must keep his foot on the throttle to keep it running.
No codes as far as I know
This happens only when the car is cold (overnight or a couple days sitting).
The car does not stall while driving or when its at operating temp.
Are there any service bulletins on this condition or has anyone have any experiance with this?

I would be very interested knowing the answer to your question. I am having the same problem on my 99 crown vic. If its cold I have to hold the pedal down to keep it running long enough to warm up. Once warmed up just enough it wont stall the second i release the gas pedal. On your dads, does the starter crank over just fine but just wont get the motor going unless you put the pedal down? Thats exactly how mine is treating me, anyways. Maybe we can both get this figured out. BTW, this is my first FORD after 3 GM's HAHA! I also have started a thread above this one with this question and one other, so if anyone can help me out there I would appreciate the input.

Thanks.

I agree with BiggerJon. We have many of these vehicles and replace 2 or 3 a week.
