1989 1.5 won't fire

Just finished installing a 1.5 from an 89 HF into my 88 HF. THe engine cranks but we can't get it to fire. There is spark at the spark plugs. The CRX sat for at least 1 1/2 years before we tried to start it today. There is still fuel in the tank, could that be the problem with the gas being so old? If so, I would guess that the fuel lines need to be blown out and the fuel filter changed...any other ideas?

Is there a possibility that the injector(s) could be bad? If so, how do I test those? A fuel filter wouldn't hurt would it? We are almost out of ideas.

Yes, I couldn't find the order that they are on top of the motor, but a local auto store said as you look at the motor they go 4 3 2 1 is this right also?
