85 Vette - Battery Drain

Hey,
First time poster on these forums, figured might as well give it a shot to see if anyone can help me out. My father has an 1985 Vette w/z51 performance package that be bought back when it was basically brand new from someone when it only had 2200 miles on it (to this day it just hit over 25k ). The problem is that the battery has been draining real quick, we've gone through two and have gone over the wiring schematics we have for the car, and have tested pulling certain fuses and such. One thing we've noticed, the clock on the radio stays on all the time (factory AM/FM cassette), he said he's unsure if it was always like that or not, just seemed odd to me because all "newer" cars seem to kill the display when the car shuts off. So we have pulled that fuse and so far it turns out (from what we can tell with checking the battery, it usually dies if the car doesn't run for ~3 days with all the fuses in) that may be the problem. But of course now we have no courtsey lights (which function properly) and no antenna (on the same circut).

So basically after that whole explanation, is the clock supposed to always be illuminated while the car is off? is there some button combinatoin we're missing to disable it being on? (i've sat there and tinkered with it for awhile, and im usually good with stuff like that)
and are there any other suggestions we should think of?

the car is in really beautiful shape and i'd love to get it back up to 100% working order. thanks for any help in advance!

Unhook the positive cable. with everyting off hook a 12 volt test light up between the cable and battery .if something is draining the battery the light will light. Pull fuses one at a time till light goes out. this will be circuit drain is on. no figuire out what on that fuse is causing the problem.
