1969 Chevelle

Decided to add one weathering on this one.using paint and pastels.

Some extra stuff I added is, an air filter and oil filter boxes. a wrench, a pizza box. The newspaper, (which is the 1969 moon landing) and some rags

James, you have a sense-of-real and a right balance in your works that's awesome: you just feel when is enought: fantastic, looks like a painting picture tha a model. And note, I don't particulary like your original's subject, but your builtup/finishing/weathering/extrastuffing (every a little of irony) are superb

Oh it looked so clean before!
The weathering loks convincing especially around the wheelwells and tires.

Re: 1969 Chevelle

Great weathering job. Very well executed.

The owner of that car beat it up a lot in the first year. Maybe a newspaper from 1980 would be a tad more convincing.

Re: 1969 Chevelle

Well, once again, another great job! The little details that you have added are great. Things like that make a good model great. Good job!

Re: 1969 Chevelle

Awsome as ever James!!

Tell me, which magazines publish your build ups so I can go and buy them to learn some more?

Also, pleaase do a weatherng tutorinal! There isn't a working one in the FAQ/Tutorial section (I think) and I'll bet there's a demand out there

Re: 1969 Chevelle

Awesome work JT. I gotta admit, I liked the clean one better, but the weathering was certainly done well!

Looks great

Dirty/weathered models are always a fun diversion from many a car modeler's obsession with shiny objects

They're also fun when you've got both versions of the same model.
