Just tested a scrap piece of my current project.. then it hit me.. how the heck am I supposed to clean off this stuff..(Dot 3 brake fluid) hence.. here I am
...I read somewhere or other that water nuetralizes it.. but.... anyways... will washing detergent do? Also... is it ok if I clean it over the sink ( letting the fliud go down the drain?)?.. TY b4hand for any feedback!

Re: cleaning off brake fluid
if you let it drip for a bit (let all the brake fluid run off) then use a soft toothbrush with some liquid dish soap (just a drop on the brush will do fine) you will be fine. just make sure you get in all the little cracks and crevices. and then rinse with water, and use compressed air to dry it off to avoid water spots.

You can take it out of jar and wash it with liquid sope under runing water, you will fill on the plastic when it is clean, as for the fluid don't drain it in sink, use conteiner in some garage, they will take care of it. Little of BF that goes down the drain when you wash the part will not do any major harm.

Or you can just forget the brake fluid, and use isopropyl alcohol. Safer, cheaper, non toxic.
