What's your audio setup?
Hey guys, I was just wondering what you guys all have for audio in your car? Mine is in my siginature. It's fucking loud, fucking clear, and fucking cool. I now work at Best Buy, so I get a hella discount so I'm getting a Sony 4-channel amp for my coaxials and the new Sony Harddisk car stereo for really cheap. After that I'm putting in two 10" Kenwood eXcelon subs. I don't know what amp I want for them yet. So what do you guys have?

This was all installed when I bought the car. If insurance didn't cost so much I would have upgraded to something impressive by now.
- 2 Rockford Fosgate RFP-1212 12" subs (400w RMS each) - 2 6 1/4" Sony Xplod Speakers(Better than stock, but not much) - Kenwood KDC-X815 Head Unit (Awsome Head Unit) - Alpine MRH-F254 Amp (Don't even know the spec's)

Kenwood KDC-MP8017 CD/MP3 player
Eclipse 6 1/2" F/R powered by Kenwood 4 channel AMP (40x4) 1 x 12" JL Sub powered by Kenwood 1 channel AMP (power?) I'm looking to upgrade both amps sometime this summer. The MP3 headunit is awesome - at 256 kbps you can fit about 6 to 8 albums on 1 disc and you don't have to worry about having your CDs stolen cuz they're only copies... The Eclipse speakers are not cheap but definitely worth the investment (they need a new amp/more power)...

Aiwa x-217 cd reciever 45X4 Alpine 6 1/2" 130W Rear Speakers Pioneer 6 1/2" 140W Front Speakers -- Soon to come -- MTX or Pioneer 12" sub Denon 500W Amp (I already have this, got it as payment for pulling stump out of friends front yard, but I am going to use it to power the sub)

Sony cdx-L550
4 Kenwood 6 1/2's RockfordFosgate 160.4 amp and 2 rockford fosgate punch 10's pretty cheap setup, and i get a pretty decent sound, not too much bass and not too little either

Dude, Do yourself a favor don't buy Sony stuff... they make great TV's but there car audio stuff Sucks !... we benn selling it for years and it's crap.
I have in my car Pioneer DEH-P7300 Head unit Infinity 605CS Front speakers powered by MTX 1505 Blue thunder amp (75x2 4ohm) Pioneer 6.5 rears powered by deck 2x 12" Rockford Fosgate Powered by a Rockford fosgate 75.2 AMP (300x1 2ohm)

I had a sony cd reciever (not xplod) in my old car and it was crap. Also people have been telling me that the xplods are pretty shitty also.
And yes, I know that aiwa is made by sony, but I havent had any problems yet with my x-217 and it was pretty much the least shitty reciever in my price range.

well you guys my car is far from the best but out of all the posts here i have the best system by far:
clarion motorized flip down face mp3/cd/dvd sony 5.3 tft screen in dash 4 infinity kappa perfect 10's 4 presicion power 1000 watt amps (mono power to each sub) 4 1 farad audiobahn digital caps 2 precision power 200w amps (powering components) 2 sets polk momo 6 1/2 component sets kicker 6 channel crossover monstercable wiring (all) high amp alternator 2 optima gel cell batterys (just for system) ill have pics up as son as i get a digital camera --oneslammedcrx

I sell car audio stuff, and I can tell you that Sony does NOT suck. Their new Xplod stuff is great, and the ES line is even better. The signal is clear and strong, and for the money there isn't much better. Clarion blows. MTX is ghetto crap.

I actually like my sony deck. It had the features i liked, such as fold down face insted of non-flip down, for under $180. Also it has great sound compared to some other decks i've heard. My friend has a pioneer in one car and a rockford fosgate in the other. they both cost over $300 each and my sound is right up there with them, even though mine is a cheaper deck. older sony xplodes did suck, my friend has one in the car the fosgate is in. but they have improved a lot, thats why i got one.

i got a cheapo system
Pioneer DEH-P3000 headunit Pioneer 5.25" up front Blaupunkt 6.5" on deck 1 Audiobahn AW120Q Kenwood 729-s amp any one got an amp that's rated around 500 bridged they want to get rid of?
