WIP 1970 Revell Chevelle
Hey, I started working on the Revell 3in1 "heavy Chevy" recently but I had a few questions for everyone. The chrome peices in this kit kinda suck, for example the front bumper is olny about half chromed lol. Any have any links to a good site where I can get some good muscle car parts? I also was originally going to paint the body black but when i went to buy paint I decided on gunmetal instead. The problem i have is that i had allready give the interior peice red carpet flocking. How can I remove it? Any ideas lol? I will post some pics of the progress i have so far later its raining out and the pics wont turn out right till later. Thanks for you help!

Re: WIP 1970 Revell Chevelle
I am about to buy this kit to build with a friend who has never built a model but wants to learn, and loves the '70 Chevelle. I originally planned to get the AMT kit, but saw that the Revell kit had more parts, plus the custom options (my friend wanted to install a blower, so it will be easier to do with the parts included in the kit). How is the kit quality other than the chrome? Does it have a lot of detail; are parts often molded-together or are they separate (separate is better of course), etc. I would be happy to get this information before I buy this kit. Also, does the kit include the stock wheels?
Thanks, Alex |
