Foggy windshield, outside, in rain
Hi, When it is raining, and the wipers are on, I have a fog that follows the windshield wipers back and forth. It disappears in a second or two, but drives me nuts! No problem with the wipers off. I have replaced the wipers already, could it be silicone or some kind of oil on the glass causing this? Or is it the new wipers? Thanks...Kem

Re: Foggy windshield, outside, in rain
clean your windshield with some alcohol or windex and put some rain-x on it, the stuff works like magic...

Re: Foggy windshield, outside, in rain
It could be old rain-x on your windshield. As it ages, the beading qualities that it gives water start to go away, letting the water bead in tiny little droplets that look like smeary fog.
I suggest using denatured alcohol on #000 steel wool to remove any junk. Don't worry, the steel wool won't damage the glass, in fact I use #00 to polish glass. The difference will be amazing. If you like Rain-x and want to re-apply, a fresh application will solve the problem as well.

I'm curious, Is that also recommended on the inside of the glass. I get that smeared likey fog myself, but would like to clean both the outside as well asthe inside.
