Which is the best motor oil ?

Hello,
I'm owner of a '98 Primera GT , and my question is ,
which is the best motor oil for this car ?
both the brand ( mobil1, valvoline, Castrol..) and the
number ( 0w50, 5w40)

I use Mobil 1 5w30 synthetic blend, but if you are really meticulous about your G then the best choice is Mobil 1 5w30 full synthetic.

Castrol GTX 5w30 every 3k-4k miles with Nissan OEM Filter.

i heard that Mobil 1 is a bit too thin for the engine and full synthetic aint always the best route to go, semi is ok. Im running Castrol GTX Magnatex 10/40w

yeah that magnatec stuff looks good...halfords reccomended that to me from their list of cars with associated motor oil...so now i have a gallon of this stuff and an oil filter sittin in my garage...and no clue as to wether i should do the change myself or not...i dont wanna go half way and realise i cant do it or the filter wont come off, cos i know they can be a right bastiod to get off

I've used both Mobil 1 & Mobil Super S (semi synth.) in both my old eGT & my current GT and found no noticable difference

Im happy with Castrol GTX Magnatex, it made a real difference from the running in oil i was using after i had the new pistons fitted. \the car pulled better, ran smoother and quieter. jus my 10 pence worth

Neil82, i've just got a Supersprint exhaust & a K&N K57i Kit,
which i've not installed yet, but when i've done it i'll hopefully
change my nick to PrimeraGT160 or so

Yeah im about to replace the GT mid section and CAT in my car and also get a K and N induction kit so I may well have a SRi175 (ish):licker: :finger:

Remember my cars still on the standard mid section and cat and I only have a k and n panel filter (buying a k and n is it any good?) so I think i can realistically get my SR20DE upto 170 hp, will you get yours rolling roaded after your mods? Whats the most HP that some has had out of a SR20DE from EUROPE?
