headers vs. ported exhaust manifolds
OK. i have a 2000 gp gt and i dont have 700$ to spend on SLP or TOG headers. ive heard something about Ported Exhaust Manifolds and was wondering if they are worth getting. i have also found a place to get headers for cheap but ive heard bad things about there quality. so i was wnodering what would be the best thing to get for the money. here are liks to exhaust parts i was thinking aboutt getting
WPI PEM Hulkspeed PEM W Body Store PEM S&S Headers SO if anybody has an opinion on which one is the best your imput would be greatly appreciated. Thanks |

Don't know much about the S&S headers nor anyone that has them. Price sounds good at around $350 - $500. I know they are popular with the 4 bangers. The ceramic coated one is nice at least in appearance. What have you heard bad about them? ![]() Thrasher CAI, DHP v1.0 PCM, SLP Headers, 3.25 SC pulley, CAIT GMAF, 2.5 DP/Hi-Flow CAT, u-bend delete, 160 TS, ZZP Stage 1 72mm TB, TB spacer, MSD 8.5mm wires, Autolite 103, Goodyear Gatorback Serp. & SC Belt, Nitto NT555R Drag Radials 1/4 ET: 13.210 sec. @ 104.490 mph 0 - 60 ft: 1.945 sec.

Re: headers vs. ported exhaust manifolds
He's got a Gt not a GTP, so i dont think he'll see that much of a gain w/ the togs. Maybe save the money and put some rockers on the car.

BTW - Nonetheless, I've seen GTs benefit from headers. How much he gets will be based on the totality of his exhaust mods. Headers aren't just for us big boys with GTPs. ![]() The rockers are a good suggestion. ![]() Thrasher CAI, DHP v1.0 PCM, SLP Headers, 3.25 SC pulley, CAIT GMAF, 2.5 DP/Hi-Flow CAT, u-bend delete, 160 TS, ZZP Stage 1 72mm TB, TB spacer, MSD 8.5mm wires, Autolite 103, Goodyear Gatorback Serp. & SC Belt, Nitto NT555R Drag Radials 1/4 ET: 13.210 sec. @ 104.490 mph 0 - 60 ft: 1.945 sec.
