oil pressure sending unit
have a 1991 Regal 3.8, the oil pressure guage pegs out full scale when first started and after it warms up at a idle it shows a normal reading, but as soon as you touch the fuel pedal it goes crazy,up down real fast like a loose conection, i have the dash apart to change the bulbs and didnt see anythig loose, could it be the oil pressure sending unit? and if so where the heck is it? i didnt do a pressure test on it because i thought if anything with over 120,000 miles on it the pressure would go down not up! thanks in advance

Re: oil pressure sending unit
It could be the sending unit. Check around the area of the right side of the engine where the oil filter mounts. Thats where its located on a Series II but not sure about the Series I.
