Did the mechanic do a crankshaft variation learn (case learn) after the PCM was replaced? Whenever a new PCM is installed a case learn must be performed to re-establish the crankshaft position hi and low limits or angles. This data is then stored into the permanent memory of the PCM. This will prevent possible false misfires from occurring, etc. and prevent the fuel injection system from going into a lean trim condition.
