I'm finding that the AC Delco Double Platinum is the best? But i'm also seeing a lot about Iridium? All the propaganda for it sounds good, but is the performance as good as the hype?

Re: Best Spark Plugs?

Stick with the AC-Delco 41-101 Iridiums, unless you change them often while at the drag strip.

Just out of curiosity, what data have you found that claims the AC Delco Double Platinums are the best?

Re: Re: Best Spark Plugs?

No data, just two mech shops in town telling me thats the best ones to use for my car. But from what I'm gathering now the AC Delco Iridiums (or some kind of iridiums) are the best. Does that sound right? What do you run?

Re: Re: Re: Best Spark Plugs?

If you're stock go with the 41-101 Iridiums as everyone has suggested. They are the standard OEM plugs now. I use them in my Regal GS and son's Alero GL2. In my GTP I use Autolites but I'm modded. BTW - When the AC Delco 41-101 Iridiums were first introduced a few years back they were actually made by NGK. The 41-101 in my Regal GS has NGK stamped in the base below the ceramic.
