sanding.
my car has this half ass pin stripe, i can almost peel it off, only it keep crumbling, what grit sand paper should i use to just sand it off? its on top of the clear coat.

i had pin stripes on my car from the factory and i took my drivers license and peeled it off with it then used windex to wipe off the glue which took the wax off too but didnt hurt the paint or clear coat.

get anything like that....a credit card, anything plastic and smooth but flexible so you wont scratch the paint and it comes off pretty easy....the hard part is getting the glue off that took forever

I use something called "Sticker Shock" that comes in a small aerosol can. You can get it at Autozone.

use goo gone!!!! NOT goof off. Goo gone is citrus based and goof off is like a weak paint remover. This thread may help you out a little bit. We always have these discussions over at the silvy forum.

you can also use a heat gun...but if you do....be very careful...heatguns in one spot too long and paint dont mix.
