Installing a CD changer...
I'm trying to install a CD changer in my 96' Civic. The unit has a short cable attached, surely hinting that it plugs in through another cable located in the trunk. I've searched all over the liner but I can't seem to locate the desired piece. Am I even looking in the right place, or am I missing another part to this process? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Ok 1) Are you asking if your car has a plug in your trunk for a changer? And 2) Do you have a stock of aftermarket head unit?

Answer to first question: yes, I'm wondering if my vehicle is 'pre-wired' and already has an extension running from the stereo unit to the trunk. (Does anybody know if this characteristic is standard among 96' Civics?) The head unit is a stock unit. Thanks for the respnose.

Well, first, is it just one cable you see, or is it 3 or 4 bunched together? Second, if the cable(s) stop(s), then there is mostly likely nothing in your trunk. And third, does your head unit have controls for a changer built in?
