82-92 camaro front struts AND shocks???

I'm wanting to set up a 85 camaro as a circle track car and was getting some spare parts from the junkyard. I noticed on the car I was getting the parts from that it had front struts and shocks. The 85 that I bought has the holes in the lower control arm for mounting shocks but I don't see an upper hole.
I've searched high and low about this and can find nothing. Was this a manufacturer option or was it some kind of aftermarket add-on? I would appreciate any response. Thanks.

Gotta be some aftermarket bolt on. Did you try asking over at the Camaro or Firebird forums here?
