Left Tailight Doesn't Look Completely Lit

Ive noticed that my Left Tailight on my 2002 firebird looks like it is 3/4 lit. I have also noticed other firebirds that have the same issue. The right Tailight looks ok, does anybody know why it looks like that or how to fix it?

Thanks

Frank

It would probably be your lightbulb in your tail light, maybe replacing that will help it out? If it isnt a problem I wouldnt worry about it.. and a problem would be it not lighting up.

The bulb is probably on it's way out, or you have some moisture trapped inside the lens. My friends 2000 T/A has that same problem. I keep nagging at him to replace the bulbs because it looks like crap, but he never gets around to it. Just try popping out one of the bulbs and taking to it discount auto parts and see if they have one that size. I'm pretty sure that should fix it. I'm guessing some of the bulbs that came from the factory were faulty or what not. I've seen it happen a dozen times, and it's always on the left tailight too.

I have the same exact issue and I replaced the bulbs but for some reason my left tail light housing takes in moisture and my right one stays dry. The moisture distorted the tint on the inside and now dulls the light. I am going to throw some new honeycombs back there though.

Sounds like a short or a blown bulb.

Yeah, I was thinking that the moisture might be the problem. Because my friends left reverse light is always fogged up. Wasn't sure if the moisture would be causing the dimming though. But that makes sense now.
