Re: Throttel Bodies

there is no reason to do this swap, as it will provide no performance advantage.

Re: Re: Throttel Bodies

Personally, I do not believe that the GTP throttle body will mate up correctly to a Series II 3800 NA upper intake manifold and you have to consider you'll be using the GTP's TB gasket but I could be wrong.

I do not know of anyone locally or on the forum who has ever done this.

Just my 2 cents.

What say you, Rich?

Re: Throttel Bodies

even the TB upgrade on the 3800 S/C would become a later mod to have any benefit. Its overkill...3800 N/A is better off with CAI, some exhaust work,re-program, and maybe a shift kit. BNAYLOR or RICH, any input?

I agree Regalfriend, however, you specifically would benefit from a larger 72mm throttle body considering you already have a L67, especially when you go to a smaller pulley size on the SC.

I agree with Rich that a 69 - 72mm TB would probably not help a NA Series II 3800....might even hurt performance like throttle response.

The stock TB for a GP GT is 65mm. ZZP has a Stage 1 TB for the L36 which is 68mm.

Are you planning on modding your Regal GS?
