Me and TerminalVelocity get at it in this video.

Each of us had a passenger... winds were at 5mph out of the east... the moons of Saturn and Venus were perfectly aligned... and we hung out at our old stomping grounds for the first time in ages...

Of course it was bound to happen:

As stated in the video, earlier that night on the freeway on our way to get food. We raced, from 65mph to about 120-125mph. I started off in 3rd gear, and got a good bit of momentum going and 4th gear pulled me ahead about 1.5 lengths ahead... thats what it looked like in the mirror anyways.

Doesn't matter... it's all good. Fun times were had by all.

Yeah well... We did race once on the freeway with my old Z and his. It was pretty much dead even, but I was slooowwwlllyyy pulling away. Not fast enough to consider it a kill though. The Panda was hopped up a bit more, I had a highflow intake manifold and turbo manifold. Matt's still running the stock RB manifolds. Those are killing his performance big time.

TV's got some mad gearing for topend in that thing. The GTS-T gearing for the transmission is wide ratios, which are normally backed by a 4.37:1 rear diff in the Skyline. He's got 3.30:1 in his Z... so he gets good top end pull of endless gears... and gets good milege to boot.

Sorry, next time I promise there'll be some form of Del Taco randomness in the video.


Looking back at the video, I let off at the top of 3rd gear. Which, when at the track is were I hit the traps. So, I was about 103-104mph when I let off. According to the video from the time "three" was yelled to the time I let off was like 12 seconds.

So we did just shy of a 1/4 mile in that run without knowing it... damn cool.
