no sound

Hi, I have inherited a blaupunkt lausanne cd31 that not only ejects the cd when it feels like (I can live with) but has no sound whatsoever coming from it? It appears to be ok as it lights up and all the buttons/features work? what could have caused this prob and what can I do about it?
cheers,

carwyn

Re: no sound

The internal amp is blown inside the deck. You have 2 options, have it repaired which is sometimes costly (or repair yourself, its easy, all you have to do is locate the output IC chip, get a part number off of it, and order one from then net, desolder the old one, and solder the new one back in.), or you can just replace the whole deck.
