Sentra vs Accord

i was coming home from school one day and i see this riced up accord. it was like a 1998 body, a coupe. He was minding his own buisness till i saw it. there was no one infront of us and i reved @ him @ the lights. i looked @ me like i was crazy but kept his engine reving up high. we pulled off the line and i was ahead by like 2 cars @ 60mph. there is a small "s" turn and since im in the outside of the turn first he catches up, but when i was inside, i was going like 75mph. he couldn't control his car i guess, cuz all i did was feint left and turn right to balance the weight to take the car, tapped the brake to help, and i powerslided the rest of the turn. he ended up being about 5 cars back and it seems he quit. @ the light he looked @ me like i was crazy and asked what i had. all i had to say was Stock. and he looked @ me like i was crazy. i guess this being my normal road coming home from school and me always taking the turn at about 65mph allowed me to win easily. the turn starts downhill, then goes uphill.

And then I look at you like you were crazy...

Taking an S turn at 75mph? You're insane...

EDIT: Nice kill though.

Re: Sentra vs Accord

lol through out the whole turn i diddnt wobble the car @ all, it was stable like driving on the highway, exept for the part when i tapped the brake really quick...i'd rather have a great handling car that i can push around the corners than one that goes fast in a straight line

ps, u thinks that's crazy?
try going around the circle ramp to get off/on to the freeway @ like 65, prob about 2-3 feet from the curb watchin people in my rearview look @ me like im crazy. i did it once with a passender in the car, they was like how fast are u taking this, it seems u control it really well, i said look. they was like damn, 65, geez, it feels like 35.....

wow, the on ramps around your area must be hugh becasue here in nyc, they are small and tight, and even with EVO's and STi's and my car taking it 40-50mph equals tire squeel with a shit load of cornering G. with my car and the STi, we will experience some body roll, but hte EVO seems to handle them just fine. usually we have stuff dangling from the rear wheel mirror and when we take them at 40mph the thing that is dangling is usually almost horizontal. i doubt your stock sentra can take those are 65 mph.

anyways nice kill, i don't doubt that you can corner faster then other people in your home area. what model sentra do you have?

Re: Sentra vs Accord

TatII, well they start out big and turn out small. they're about the size of 2 civics door to door next to each other. they have the road, then a little part in the road that is the water drainage part and i keep a wheel close to it. if im really into it ill put the front outside tire in it. I dont think that i am one of the fastest drivers in the area, im just good what what i know how to because i have been driving since i was about 8. I learned how to drive in a cemetery and it had lot of quick turns and bumps/hills, almost everything in it. there s is plenty for me to learn, even tho i still hate to admit it, im still a novice. after all, im only 16.

i have a 2001 sentra SE, i guess the only diff between my ca and the GXE is the engine, the Sport package(tighter suspention and a 2.0 engine) is the differece. i think the gear ratios are also different.

i actually live in the city of milwaukee where it is a mix of suburban people and the duplexes. people round where i live are serious about drag racing, not many circuit racing people around here. i think if i had a awd id be a lot better. for a lot of you guys that live don in the south, snow is not a factor. It's either drive your mustang/camero/american muscle car and fishtail all day suvering all the way to where you're going, or get a awd or FF.

o and i did find a park that was near to it, ill park and walk a little bit to get a couple pics for u guys.

o and the S-turn is actually 2 lane each side, its seperated by a median, about 5 feet across.

sorry for the long write up...

Re: Sentra vs Accord

shift + 2 = @ (two key strokes)

a + t = at (two key strokes)

Using the @ symble in a sentance... it's kind of a lazy thing to do.. but really, it takes the same amount of effort to do it. Which doesn't make sense...

Re: Sentra vs Accord

lol it is true, i see a lot of hondas, american muscle, and thats it. i see a rx-8, evo 8, and a sti cuz they live near me. 1 kno of one person that has an evo 7. most of the hondas round here aren't even serious. but there is the one on occasion that is hairdried and runs 12s.....not a lot of easy places to drag, i kno of maybe 2, 3 strips, and they get shut down pretty quickly.

yes i do live right in the city, all the streets are crap unless they were rebuilt/done in the past 8 years.
