componet speakers

got a quick question. the speakers on my car are blown so I was thinking of going ahead and putting in a after market component system the question is where would you recommend putting the mids? the front or in the back, or both if it would really sound better. next question what speakers do you recommend 6 1/2 I was looking at the Infinity Reference Series just heard good things never heard them.

you would put components in to front and nothing in the back. listen to the speakers. that will determine if the it sounds good or not. you may like kenwood, but hate focals, and verse visa for me. follow your ears. but if you want recommendation, infinity's are good. crystal mobilesound are one of my favorites. how much can you spend?

I just put the Infinity Reference 6.5" 2-ways in my front doors and those sound reeeal nice. I went to Circuit City and listened to all the ones they had and the Infinity's sounded awesome. I recommend going to CC, Best Buy or a local shop and listen to everything and then make a decision.

I have sony 6 1/2's in the front and 6x9's in the rear. They are 3 way speakers and the clarity is great. 200 bucks should get you a decent setup with 4 speakers. Check around and see what kind of sound you want. You might want to get an amp also because the stock radio only puts out 15 watts per channel. I upgraded my HU and now I am pushing out 52 watter Per channel. My speakers are rated at 180 watts but it says the nominal input is 40.
