Removing finger nail polish ?
I've got a finger nail polish paint job that I may need to strip.
It really depends on how much damage I do to the finish cleaning up the junk in the top coat. The base is Cobra Colors acrylic lacquer with VX under that. What works for you?

Haven't ever used nail polish, but the first thing I'd try is 99% isopropyl alcohol. I'd be surprised if it doesn't work.

nail polish remover that is safe for fake nails will work and SHOULDNT damage the plastic.
it should say "non-acetone" |

Re: Removing finger nail polish ?
Non-acetone nail polish remove can still damage plastic models.

Re: Removing finger nail polish ?
If all else fails try the good old brake fluid bath. Test on a scrap piece first as it can melt some plastics. Don't ask how I know this.

Re: Removing finger nail polish ?
Use alcohol. Put it in a sealable container, and let it soak for 2 hours. It will come off with an old toothbrush with ease. I just stripped a Cobra Colors paint job off of my Ferrari F355 down to bare plastic using 91% isopropyl alcohol. It had CC VX primer on it as well.
