what is up with cars like Q45, Optima, etc.?

The front looks soooo close. I can tell the difference, but barely. The Lexus Lexus LS430, Infinita Q45, Kia Optima, and I think the Hyundai XG300 (I'm not sure if that is it) looked VERY VERY similiar -- the front end at least. What's up with that?

And the Ford Focus and Honda Civic!?!?!

Chevrolet Cavalier and Ford Escort?

And what else?
